Hello! I’m Hanz Geeratz, and this is my personal web site. Nice to see you!

A brief introduction: I am a Dutch person living in Hamburg, Germany. Besides the family, my main interests are reading and collecting books, Technical Diving and Rebreather diving, all kinds of philosophic input (Thelema, Zen, Tao, Austin Osman Spare) , survival technics, running, boxing and keeping up2date on current technology.
In 2004, I co-founded Speicher 210 along with Michael Wolf, Speicher 210 is a Hamburg (Germany) based company specialized in IT project management. Here I am doing miscellaneous IT project management work and trying to manage a small but highly effective company. Most of our daily work is done by juggling e-mails and documents. Doing analysis and planning work (keeping track of our client projects milestones, budgets, etc.).
My website isn’t about anything in particular, first and foremost, it is my personal journal which I tend to update on a very none regular base. Mostly it is a collection of philosophical and cultural related notes, bookmarks and topics of interest. No big articles or in-depth discussions – just a scrapbook.
TAO ? I am familiar and attracted to the Taoist principles found in the Daodejing and Zhuangzi, such as naturalness, vitality, peace, “effortless action” (wu wei), emptiness (refinement), detachment, the strength of softness (or flexibility), receptiveness, spontaneity, the relativism of human ways of life, ways of speaking and guiding behavior. No, I am not a Taoist, Buddhist or Zen Monk; I do (Zen) meditate, and like to get my mind going on the various Zen complexities, the concepts of Taoism and Zen just fit well in my personal believe system.
This website is build with WordPress and based on the on the Journalist Scribbishwp WPShopp Cleanr white-as-milk template.
